内容介绍：

This presentation consists of five main parts, each aimed at deepening scientific and innovative cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China.

The first part introduces the scientific activities and international cooperation programs of Tashkent State Technical University (TSTU), particularly focusing on joint research projects carried out with universities in China, Korea, Germany, and Europe.

The second part highlights the main research directions of the Faculty of Energy Engineering, including key scientific studies conducted under its framework. It also provides information about the research team led by Professor Toirov, its composition, and its scientific potential.

The third part is devoted to Uzbekistan’s energy sector, analyzing the national energy strategy until 2030, the implementation of renewable energy sources (including wind and solar power plants), and major international cooperation projects with companies such as Datang, Masdar, and ACWA Power.

The fourth part discusses research projects implemented under the leadership of Professor Toirov, their results, and practical applications in real operational conditions. It presents examples of improving energy efficiency in mining industries, irrigation pumping stations, and general industrial mechanisms, as well as the integration of renewable energy sources—such as micro-hydropower and wind power plants—into the electric grid.

The fifth part focuses on the joint project between China and Uzbekistan on the “Development of a Flexible Traction Power Supply System Integrated with Renewable Energy Sources.” It discusses the current stage of the project, its research methodology, and future development plans.

The scientific ideas and results presented in this lecture are expected to contribute significantly to strengthening scientific and innovative cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, as well as to promoting sustainable development through improved energy efficiency across economic sectors.

主讲人：Olimjon TOIROV

Professor Olimjon Toirov — Doctor of Technical Sciences (DSc), Professor in the field of “Energy Systems and Complexes”, and one of the leading scientists in green energy, energy and resource efficiency, and improving the performance of electromechanical systems. He received his PhD degree in 2012 and his DSc degree in 2018. Since 2024, he has been serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Tashkent State Technical University (TSTU). Professor Toirov is the author of over 300 scientific works, including 32 inventions and patents, and more than 35 research papers indexed in international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. He has also supervised 1 Doctor of Science (DSc) and 5 PhD dissertations. In recognition of his outstanding achievements in research, he was awarded the “Scopus Edwards Uzbekistan” Prize in 2023. Professor Toirov actively participates in international scientific projects and grant programs, serves as an international expert in the energy sector, and is a member of the editorial boards of several national and international scientific journals. His research plays an important role in strengthening Uzbekistan’s energy potential and advancing the country’s transition toward a green economy.
